Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Advising Assistant - Boca Raton, FL.

The Advising Assistant is responsible for providing essential support to student and staff within the Graduate Advising Office in the College of Business. This support includes answering phones, scheduling appointments, and providing students with information as it pertains to possible degree programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision of front desk area in the Student Academic Services office
Responsible for program/project planning, evaluation, and implementation
Provides leadership to students and support staff, including directing them to appropriate resources, and serves as a point of contact for students with academic concerns
Responsible for solving problems and communicating issues of concern to appropriate higher-level authority
Responsible for assisting students with scheduling appointments and managing their academic records
Provides information about academic advising services and resources throughout campus
Answers phones, responds to emails and manages voicemails
Maintains accurate student records and databases
Responsible for planning, purchasing, and inventory for the office
Coordinates special advising events and workshops
Serves as a liaison between the department and other departments at FAU
Assists with special projects as assigned.
Perform other job-related duties.
