Clinical Counseling Program Field Placement Assistant Coordinator

This is a temporary, part-time position to serve as the Clinical Field Placement Assistant Coordinator within the MA in Psychology: Clinical Counseling Program (CCP) at The Citadel. All CCP graduate students must complete two clinical field placement experiences in the community, and this position will support the CCP Program Director with the management and coordination of these experiences. This position will work directly with the CCP Program Director as well as clinical field placement sites in the community. Work responsibilities can be completed on campus or virtually with an anticipated workload of 8 hours per week. Compensation of $5000 per semester

 

Position Responsibilities:

• Manage administrative aspects of practicum and internship student placement
• Manage, organize, and update all administrative aspects of the field placement process, including all documents for tracking and site management.
• Update and manage CCP Field Placement Canvas course
• Communicate with and support existing field placement sites and supervisors
• Coordinate fall and spring Field Placement EXPO
• Creating a new organizational system for managing MOUs and agreements between The Citadel and Field Placement Sites.
• Assist Clinical Counseling Program Director with other administrative tasks

 

Education, Experience, Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree (minimum); Master’s degree in Counseling or related field (preferred)
• Preference given to applicants with administrative experience and knowledge of the mental health community of Charleston
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work within a team as well as independently
