Accountable for the full lifecycle of a Space Systems program, associated products, and services from inception through completion, inclusive of pursuit and order capture, design and development, produce to deliver, service/support, and long-term strategic business plans.  Assigned as the chair of the Integrated Project Team (IPT) accountable for managing the cost, schedule, performance and on-time delivery of company programs or subsystems of major programs.  Serves as the face of the organization to clients and customers.

This role can be supported at one of the following Collins Aerospace locations:

• Rockford, IL

• Houston, TX

• Windsor Locks, CT

What You Will Do

• Accountable for entire performance of the assigned value stream

• Lead complex program to ensure adherence to financial commitments, program plans, inventory, schedules and budgets

• Plans, directs, and monitors collateral budget and leads critically strategic value stream

• Accountable for all customer commitments including deliveries and financial performance

• Manages changes of new functionality on product lines and services

• Ability to have a growing impact on customer satisfaction due to regular customer interface and project scope

• Regularly influences and negotiates to achieve and/or exceed enterprise commitments

• Has advanced, applied theory level knowledge of the management system

• Leads decision making for the IPTs and applies critical thinking where incomplete data exists

• Develops internal and external networks and communicates vision to IPT and stakeholders within and outside of the function 

• Provides inputs to the strategic plan for their specific project and has influence to SFP

• Self-starter and have experience of driving a cross functional team to deliver to tight timelines, while still being able to manage effective relationships

• Manage program with complex supply chains

• Organize and conduct program status reviews, team meetings, and various other regular business activities

Qualifications You Must Have 

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract ​

• 5+ years of Program / Project Management or Value Stream Leader experience
