Associate Designer I - Carrollton, TX

 

NATURE OF WORK/SCOPE OF POSITION

 

This Associate Designer 1 will support a global key account by being integral to the team for all process/functionality, product improvement, and root cause analysis with primary responsibility to meet our account needs. Integrates expertise with strong commercial understanding to lead seasoning functionality issues, specification management, and positive changes in seasoning design. Will need to anticipate, investigate, and resolve problems related to functionality. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Primary Functionality Designer to IFF Global Key Account to deliver best in class customer support.
  • Collaboration with Seasoning Flavorists on seasoning design optimization and execution for scale-up
  • Responsible for scheduling and attending NPD’s and trade call production on all new wins. Analyze all quality data and make recommendations to improve functionality.
  • Attend plant trials to observe functionality and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Initiate seasoning specifications, review all data, and communicate tentative specifications to Seasoning Scientist.
  • Support seasoning blending for test samples and other blending needs when applicable.
  • Recertification, variance, and rework support when applicable.
  • Maintain internal shelf-life program, conduct monthly evaluations, analyze data, and troubleshoot.
  • Attend bi-weekly customer meetings to discuss functionality and specification data.

Job Requirements

 

Experience (Min Requirement):

 

  • Preferred experience in Food Industry
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a variety of disciplines including quality, manufacturing and/or cross functional teams

 

Academic Qualifications/Background

 

  • Minimum entry level 

 

Communication      

 

  • Strong communication (verbal and written), organizational and interpersonal skills are necessary

 

Travel

 

  • Travel may be required up to 20% of the time. 

 

Workplace

 

  • This position is based in Carrollton, Texas, and requires working in the lab/manufacturing warehouse 5 days/week.
