Description of Work

The Drug & Alcohol Impaired Driving (DAID) Program Regional Coordinator serves as an Extension Education & Training Specialist responsible for coordinating, promoting, and directing education and training programs within the assigned region. The position develops and conducts training courses of varying content, duration, and statutory requirements and works with state, local, and federal agencies to determine training needs and align program delivery.

Work includes administering regional training projects, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and preparing accurate educational program reports. This role requires ongoing collaboration with agency personnel, program partners, and community college representatives to support statewide education and training objectives. This position operates with consultative and administrative responsibilities within a broader public health and safety training framework.


Key Duties Include:
– Coordinate regional education and training programs by planning course delivery, scheduling instruction, and aligning training content with state and federal requirements.

– Develop and conduct training courses with varied subject matter, duration, and statutory obligations based on regional program needs.

– Promote extension education and training opportunities through direct engagement with state, local, and federal agencies and community partners.

– Evaluate training programs using established methods and prepare accurate reports documenting outcomes, compliance, and instructional effectiveness.

– Determine regional training needs by consulting with agency personnel, community college system representatives, and other stakeholders.

– Apply federal and state regulations to training program development to ensure accuracy, consistency, and regulatory adherence.

– Coordinate projects requiring federal funding by preparing program materials and supporting documentation as needed.

– Maintain effective working relationships with subordinates, committee members, college administrators, and public‑facing program partners.

– Support broader statewide training initiatives by integrating regional findings, instructional feedback, and program evaluation results.

– Ensure training program operations meet administrative expectations through organized documentation, timely communication, and consistent workflow management.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Salary Grade Range: $50,088.00 - $87,654.00

Recruitment Range: $50,088.00 - $68,637.00

  • Prior experience working with state, local, and federal partners to identify regional training needs, align program objectives, and coordinate education initiatives.

  • Demonstrates advanced capability in evaluating training programs by preparing accurate reports, assessing instructional effectiveness, and integrating results into program improvements.

  • Proficient in interpreting and applying federal and state regulations within training program design, documentation, and day‑to‑day workflow processes.
