The Wharton Sports Analytics and Business Initiative is seeking motivated students to serve as Teaching Assistants (TAs) for our upcoming programs. As a TA, you will play a crucial role in facilitating learning and supporting our innovative courses. You may apply for one or more of the following opportunities:
Moneyball FLEX: Asynchronous course, required 10 hours a week from TA.
Jun 21 - Jul 26, 2026
Moneyball Training Camp 10:00AM-6:00PM for the full week, required 40 hours from the TA.
Session 1: Jun 22 - Jun 26, 2026
Session 2: Jul 13 - Jul 17, 2026
Application Details:
You may choose to apply for any one of these programs; there is no requirement to TA for multiple sessions.
When applying, please clearly specify the program(s) for which you wish to TA.
Responsibilities:
Complete a background check.
Attend lectures and presentations from faculty and guest speakers.
Assist students with homework's and questions related to statistics, sports data, and coding.
Work with a group of assigned students to develop a sports analytics-based project.
Qualifications:
Interest in sports, statistics, and analytics
Currently enrolled as a student at the University of Pennsylvania.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
Available the week before the program starts for prep work.
Daily Schedule:
Moneyball Training Camp
Monday – Friday: tentatively 10:00AM-6:00PM Eastern Daylight Time (UTC-4);
daily specifics may vary, but students should expect a mix of the following:
10:00am-12:30pm: Live Class
12:30pm-1:45pm – Lunch Break; Optional Office Hours/Coffee Chat available
2:00pm-3:00pm – Live Guest Speaker
3:00pm-4:30pm – (Asynchronous) Watch/read R Lectures
4:30pm-5:00pm – Live Review coding Lecture
5:00pm-6:00pm – Live Breakout sessions with TAs/Problem Sets
