POSITION SUMMARY
Sony Corporation of America (SCA), the US headquarters of Sony, has an excellent opportunity for a Director of Supply Chain and Vendor Management who will support the launch of a new business incubated within SCA. This role provides a unique opportunity to establish and drive external stakeholder engagements required to expand operations and service delivery in the US.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the development of all SCA vendor management frameworks and processes with capabilities that span all operations (Deployment, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Product etc...)
Establish and manage ongoing vendor relationships with 3rd party Operational, Application and Deployment partners in a timely manner to support Launch readiness.
Develop all supply chain and logistics frameworks, operations (warehousing, inventory management, 3rd party forward/reverse logistics) and systems from scratch to support Launch readiness.
Patner with SCA Sourcing, Privacy and Security teams to ensure compliance of all ongoing partnerships.
Define, hire and lead a national, distributed team with a strong culture of operational excellence that is deeply focused on enabling a differentiated, delightful customer experience that draws upon the full range of Sony products and capabilities.
Develop and implement the internal business processes and handbooks that will efficiently enable a truly different experience for consumers
Coordinate across other Sony business units on technical and process collaborations needed to best enable a “One Sony” experience
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
Your qualifications and experience should include:
15+ years in the US operational industry role (telecommunications, logistics, construction)
Proven ability to lead diverse cross-functional teams across multiple time zones and high-pressure situations with and without formal management authority.
Demonstrated ability to design and oversee the process of launching new products and services within a large company environment, working at a start-up pace
Passion for enabling world-class customer experiences
Proven low ego, team-first mentality and approach to work
Adaptability to changing requirements and the ability to be deeply creative while providing operational rigor a must
