JOB DESCRIPTION

The Supervisor is responsible for oversight of the clinical staff and for the daily operations of the UVMMC’s Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP). Working closely with the manager and the EFAP staff, the Supervisor delivers high-quality evidence-based treatment for employees and their dependents with mental health conditions and/or substance use disorders. The Supervisor participates in development of policies and execution of the EFAP services, ensuring that policies, procedures and customer service are monitored, evaluated and appropriate for remote and on-site application of clinical services, leader consultation and CISD debriefings. As part of the leadership team, the supervisor assists the manager in fulfilling departmental goals, organizational mission and is visible on committees and teams with key collaborators. The Supervisor provides team training and support to EFAP program counselors, encouraging individual and team development. Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, clinical documentation excellence, and EAP data base management. The EFAP supervisor develops appropriate liaisons with other programs within the UVMMC and the UVMHN Medical Group, as well as governmental and regulatory agencies. The supervisor maintains an active clinical caseload including short term counseling, leader consultations, and CISD groups.

EDUCATION

Vermont or New York State LICSW, LCMHC or psychologist license required

Master's degree in applicable discipline

LADC preferred

Credentialed for EAP preferred

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of four years’ experience in EAP work

Certifications in trauma, stress reduction and CBT preferred

Previous leadership and clinical supervision experience preferred

Applied experience in process improvement and crisis management

NOTE ABOUT ROLE

This position is hybrid: 2 days remote the remaining days are on campus at 1 So. Prospect St. Must be flexible depending on Department needs and be within commutable distance to Burlington.

RELOCATION

Eligible candidates will receive up to a $9,200 relocation bonus. Certain terms and conditions apply.
