We are currently seeking a sourcing and procurement professional to join our Data Centre Services Procurement group, specifically the EMEA Supplier Sourcing and Management Team. This role will focus on working with customers, identifying and onboarding construction services, substation long lead equipment, colocation services and real estate vendors and across all EMEA regions where required to add additional capacity to meet demand.

You will take ownership of creating region sourcing plans, existing region management and reviews and then quickly delivering results that enable internal teams to meet tight schedules. Driving a focus in construction supplier sourcing of quality, innovative Sustainability focused suppliers and on Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance, It will be critical that you identify new ways to forge partnerships with new suppliers, evaluate new and established suppliers' performance against clearly defined metrics, and balance priorities of, both, Amazon and our suppliers to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

Ability to travel on short notice is key for this role.



Key job responsibilities
*Ensure the AWS supplier pool is managed to ensure continuity of supplier capacity and availability for current and new areas of operation, and deliver corporate governance across the supply base to Amazon standards.
* Identifying viable construction services, materials and long lead equipment suppliers in the EMEA region through customer & business partner collaboration and market research.
* Establishing regional supplier sourcing strategies and timelines that address specifics of each region (current and new) including local language, ease of doing business with suppliers in-market, existing supplier availability, etc., and then acting as a project manager to drive the strategies to completion.
* Negotiating contract terms with new suppliers, and creating mechanisms to help them understand Amazon's business requirements.
* Managing the supplier selection process includes managing all aspects of the internal hand over of qualified suppliers to regional category managers for RFPs and RFQs (bidding). Scaling out programmes to deliver on this more efficiently.
*Review the current policies, processes and systems for supplier onboarding and identify opportunities to introduce efficiencies.
* Driving process and tooling improvement initiatives that positively impact customers, stakeholders, and the team.
* Communicating frequently and professionally with internal customers and stakeholders on the status of sourcing and procurement activities for all regions.
* Developing and leading supplier- and customer-focused trainings that enable them to partner more closely with your business unit.
* Establishing key internal metrics and utilizing them to monitor and improve personal performance against business targets and to make informed business actions including weekly reports for supplier lifecycle management including KPIs for cycle time, performance reviews, annual spend and ongoing compliance.
*Implement and report on supply chain sustainability goals for supplier onboarding, award and performance to support AWS focus on Sustainability.
*Define and implement supplier diversity and inclusion (Women owned, Minority, Ethnic, SME etc.) initiatives within the AWS EMEA supply chain. Develop and implement KPIs to measure and report out on initiatives and programmes.
