Lifestyle Host/TV Producer Content Manager

Nexstar’s Binghamton and Elmira New York stations are seeking a creative and energetic host/producer for its lifestyle show and segments.  This exciting new opportunity will work collaboratively with news and sales departments producing engaging content that will run across the Southern Tier of New York. This is a perfect opportunity for an exceptional on-air personality starting their on-air career that has ideas on moving to growing their brand.

Responsibilities:

• You’ll book guests; plan, research, and write segments collaborating with leadership in both markets for production in-studio and on-location 
• Familiarity with producing live and editable segments in a lifestyle and news format is a must. You’ll also work closely with our sales department, production staff, and the public.
• Our candidate must be adept at updating social media uploading and writing stories for Binghamton and Elmira websites. 
• Interacts with viewers/users on social media and at local events
• Edits video and performs special projects representing the stations

Requirements and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree and professional experience preferred
• Knowledge of the Southern Tier of New York region is a plus. 
• You should be highly organized and creative, a good communicator and team player, working well under pressure with a cool head and attention to detail and quality. The ability to enterprise segments is key.
• This position reports to the General Manager, as well as the Director of Sales and News Director on a secondary level.
• Computer proficiency
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks
• Valid driver's license with good driving record
• Some schedule flexibility
