Front End Software Engineer

HOW A SOFTWARE ENGINEER ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
● Build reusable components that align with the system design patterns.
● Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
● Participate in team design and code reviews
● Collaborate with a small team of engineers and designers to understand business requirements and user experience goals.
● Provide recommendations for continuous improvement
● Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.

● Troubleshoots complex problems and provides customer support for software systems and application issues.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

● Required Experience: 8 to 10 years of related software development experience

● Required Technical Skills:

• Extensive experience with Angular (or another modern front end framework such as: React or Vue.js)
• Expert knowledge of Javascript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience designing complex search interfaces.
• Experience in optimizing web applications for performance and usability.
• Experience with integrating with third party APIs.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Experience with Linux operating systems

● Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with Poly

● Required Skills and Abilities:

•  Hands-on developer with significant experience in building modular, reusable components and features.
• Have extensive, firsthand technical expertise in a modern front end framework.
• Be at ease working in an Agile environment with little supervision.
• Embody a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.

● Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SASS or LESS.
• Hands-on experience working with NodeJS, MongoDB
• Familiarity constructing ElasticSearch queries

The likely salary range for this position is $153,000 - $207,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
