We are currently searching for a talented Civil or Environmental Engineer V to join and grow with our Water Engineering team! This position is open to candidates located in Richmond, Charlottesville, Roanoke, or Blacksburg, Virginia, or surrounding areas.

This Opportunity:

  • Partner with a team to manage water infrastructure projects and project teams to support the planning, design, and construction of drinking water treatment, pumping, distribution, storage or conveyance projects
  • Develop creative solutions to complex wastewater treatment and conveyance challenges, working closely with our team of engineers, designers and other professionals
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to deliver innovative project solutions
  • Maintain close relationships with clients throughout development of projects and after completion
  • Mentor junior level staff
  • Help build and strengthen client relationships

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related field
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Experience managing and / or supporting multi-discipline infrastructure projects
  • Experience in the design and construction of municipal, state, federal, or industrial drinking water treatment projects
  • Proven understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Solid knowledge of water treatment systems, equipment, and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Residence in Richmond, Charlottesville, Roanoke, or Blacksburg, Virginia, or surrounding areas
  • Five (5) years of experience designing and/or managing drinking water treatment projects
  • Knowledge of regional water issues and familiarity with the municipal government client base
  • Demonstrated ability to support multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to scope and budget new water treatment facility projects and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
