Description
The University of Michigan-Flint Physical Therapy Department is seeking applicants for a an Intermittent LEO Lecturer for the Summer 2025 semester as a lab instructor to assist the primary instructor in teaching PTP 746 Integument Conditions. This is an onsite course for approximately six (6) hours per week, May 1 thru August 31, 2025.
The faculty member teaching PTP 746 Integument Conditions will be responsible for conducting labs and administering practical exams for this course. The expertise of the faculty member will be utilized in meeting course objectives for modules related to integument diseases and disorders commonly encountered in physical therapy practice with pertinent histology, embryology, pathophysiology, etiology, risk factors and co-morbidities, clinical course and signs and symptoms, prevention, medical/pharmacological and surgical management, examination, evaluation diagnosis, prognosis and application of physical therapy interventions of adults with or at risk for integument diseases, disorders, and conditions to integument diseases, disorders and conditions.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of a CAPTE accredited, or equivalent, professional Physical Therapy Program
- Licensed or regulated as a physical therapist in a US jurisdiction
- Bachelor’s degree required
- One full year of full-time (or equivalent) post-licensure clinical experience in physical therapy or relevant content area
- Contemporary expertise in the role of a physical therapist in integument diseases and disorders commonly encountered in physical therapy practice with pertinent histology, embryology, pathophysiology, etiology, risk factors and co-morbidities, clinical course and signs and symptoms, prevention, medical/pharmacological and surgical management, examination, evaluation diagnosis, prognosis and application of physical therapy interventions of adults with or at risk for integument diseases, disorders, and conditions.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and student evaluation
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s, DPT or higher preferred
- Member of APTA preferred
