Civil Engineering Intern - Airport Construction (Summer 2025)

Foth Infrastructure Solutions is currently seeking a team-focused and results-oriented Civil Engineering Intern to join our Aviation Services team at the Columbia Metropolitan Airport. This is a hands-on learning experience conducting construction observation for aviation-related projects, with the possibility of design related responsibilities. As a member of the Foth Aviation Services team, you will help our client meet these challenges while minimizing community and environmental impacts. You will help provide effective solutions that are cost-conscious, innovative, and practical, with results that last for years to come.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform construction observation for aviation-related projects at the Columbia Metropolitan Airport, with a team of engineers
• Assist with construction measurements and documentation, quantity reporting, plan and specification review, and contractor/client coordination
• Escort and observe contractors in the secure area of the airfield
• Engage in routine civil engineering support tasks under the direction of a licensed engineer
• Available to work a flexible schedule when work requires it. This could include weekend work (40 hour work weeks with the possibility of overtime) 

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, or Construction Engineering at an accredited technical college or university
• Must be able to pass airport security background check
• Clean driving history
