Your Career

Our Business organization, led by our President, is the heart and soul of Palo Alto Networks with 6K+ employees spread across Sales, Support, and Services.  The Business organization not only covers all GTM activities, but also leads cross-functional projects across Product, Marketing, Finance, and People teams.  Our GTM Strategy team tackles the most mission-critical and challenging initiatives across the Business organization to drive and support our industry-leading growth.  This role will roll up directly to our VP, GTM Strategy and will have unprecedented access to GTM leadership.  We work on projects that move the needle, have major C-level “pull” and impact the company’s overall trajectory.  Over time, we expect “graduates” from our Strategy team to take on high-profile leadership roles across the Business and the company and commit to coaching and supporting you on your journey!

Your work as a Strategy Principal will directly and visibly contribute to the overall strategy and success of the Shared Services organization within the Business Organization.  The Shared Services organization comprises several specialized selling teams, including Solutions Architects, Cloud Engagement Directors, Business Value Consultants, and Industry Experts who partner with our global sales teams in our largest sales pursuits.  The team also includes GTM support functions, including Learning and Enablement, SE Transformation, Advisory, and Infrastructure.  You will work directly with the SVP, Worldwide Shared Services, and other senior leaders in the organization to solve complex strategic problems that are top of mind for our executives.  We expect you to work collaboratively to gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, independently lead problem-solving, develop and package recommendations for presentation to management, support execution and manage a broad set of x-functional stakeholders.  At every turn, our team will strive to uncover value and opportunities for the Business.

Your Impact

• Structure and break down complex business problems, develop a hypothesis, drive analysis and deliver recommendations 
• Work collaboratively across a cross-functional set of stakeholders to gather the right information, pressure test your hypothesis, co-create deliverables, accelerate execution and unlock value
• Develop and present high-quality recommendation and deliverables (PPT, Word, etc.) for executive-level consumption 
• Support strategy / business planning processes and assist with developing strategic capabilities across the organization
• Drive change across the organization and be willing to wear multiple hats (strategy development, project management and execution) to do it what it takes to “move the needle”
• Be a Player-Coach that raises everyone’s capabilities around you

Qualifications

Your Experience

• 4+ years relevant work experience post MBA with at least 2 years in management consulting (McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Deloitte, etc.), private equity or top-tier tech strategy or “bizops” functions (Google, Amazon, Salesforce, etc.)
• MBA graduate from a top-tier B- school or similar academic credentials or “direct promote” in Consulting or equivalent military experience required
• Effective verbal and written communication ability and comfort with both business and technical discussions with
