IV Pharmacy Technician - Full-Time - 32 Hours a Week (On-Site)

Overview
Symbria Rx Services is seeking a Pharmacy IV Technician to add to our growing team at our Pharmacy in Woodridge, IL.
Work Schedule:
- Week 1: Tuesday-Friday 6am-2:30
- Week 2: Wednesday-Saturday 6am-2:30
- Rotating holiday and available to cover PTO
Responsibilities
- Prepare IV solutions, including calculation and compounding of IV’s according to physician’s prescription with 100% accuracy.
- Process IV orders through the pharmacy software system.
- Set up new IV compounds in the pharmacy software system utilizing the IV price code table.
- Create and maintain resident IV folder in the paperless software system.
- Follow aseptic technique while compounding in IV hood.
- Track usage of IV pumps sent to communities and arrange for retrieval.
- Properly dispose of expired/returned IV solutions.
- Meet daily deadlines of scheduled medication deliveries.
- Assist and maintain accurate IV inventory.
- Submit daily insurance claims and adjudicate any IV rejections.
- Maintain daily, weekly and monthly cleaning responsibilities that are in compliance with the standard 797 codes for IV Room maintenance.
- Must complete IV Room and temperature logs with 100% accuracy.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Pharmacy Technician license and Certification (CPhT) as per state requirements.
- IV experience required.
