Service Operations Engineer

The Service Operations Team has the responsibility for evaluating technologies and developing solutions that allow Meta to support products delivered to the market at scale. Meta seeks a Service Operations Engineer focused on refurbishment and remanufacture, factory setup and supplier qualification. We are looking for a slightly impatient individual willing to face down their fear of failure to accomplish bold things. The role of a Service Operations Engineer is complex and is required to be led by someone who is both technically proficient to work with the engineering design teams, but also experienced in supply chain and remanufacturing to bring that hardware process and technology into the mass production. Your role will be to act as the interface between the Meta Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to implement and execute comprehensive service solutions for our products.Service Operations Engineer Responsibilities

• Drive DFx (Reworkability, manufacturability, cost, poka-yoke) initiatives and conduct serviceability assessments including component usage analysis
• Collaborate with manufacturing test engineering and manufacturing partners to develop robust test stations and on-device calibrations
• Led repair process development, device and sub-assembly traceability, and implement strategies to reduce bounce rates
• Drive repair qualification including factory yields, UPH, efficiency & utilization targets, product repair and reworkability metrics
• Enhance remanufacturing process for scaling, optimization, quality, and efficiency
• Coordinate with both foreign and domestic suppliers to establish technical and remanufacturing processes during product development and volume remanufacturing ramp-up

Minimum Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience in repair manufacturing, production line qualifications in NPI & sustaining phase
• Experience with hardware development and manufacturing process, FATP components and systems, yield improvements, floor layout planning, line balancing and UPH planning
• Experience with two or more of the following manufacturing engineering aspects: fixture design and development, process engineering, manufacturing test development, returns analysis
• Experience with domestic and/or international tooling vendors and tooling related supply chain
• Experience with considerations of building hardware and tooling technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in conducting multi-factorial DOEs, ANOVA, and SPC methodology
• Experience with automation assembly and inspection tool development
• Experience building cross-functional relationships at all levels of the organization
• Experience in driving results, motivate, and instill a sense of urgency in others
• Experience in a leadership position and achieve results with minimal supervision
