Be a part of our Global Key Account Management team for Industry End User Management (KAM IEM) – We are looking for a Senior Technical Key Account Manager for our semiconductor customers in the USA!
The mission of the Global KAM IEM team is to become a full-suite solution/ consulting partner to target end-users for strategic conversations on water systems and services.
What is the job about?
In this role you will pair up with the Semiconductor Key Account Managers (KAM) in our team to be our technical interface to serve our selected end user key accounts to identify their key issues and develop our proposal to solve their problems and address their needs. The goal is to, through a close customer collaboration, provide the best or most competitive pump solution to their applications. Your technical expertise and customer support makes Grundfos the obvious choice and preferred advisor for our semiconductor key account customers.
Internally, you leverage your network to ensure our Semiconductor key account customers are getting the best possible technical service from Grundfos, including product and solution testing, documentation, and product samples & variants in close collaboration with CSSC and Service.
On top of this, you will work closely with the KAM vertical sales manager to consolidate our vertical learnings through the experience working with vertical customers which will be the most valuable assets to empower local sales force.
This role is remote and can be based anywhere in the USA.
Your main responsibilities:
- Building awareness of Grundfos’ abilities to support the water, energy, and process optimization of the semiconductor industry.
- Establishing and expanding a network in the semiconductor industry. Relationship management with customers’ key planner and technical staff, wherever they are located.
- Application specialist having more technical conversations with end-users, supplementing the KAM’s commercial understanding. Provide application and customer-problem expertise into new and existing offerings. Drive technical actions for the KAMs.
- The TKAM will then be the main technical link for national and international projects between the end- user, system builder and/or other involved parties.
- Establish customer road mapping driven by customer and application insights.
- Support the KAM regarding listing as approved supplier and implement the right products into the system of the end-user.
- Support vertical manager to collect and consolidate vertical learnings to be part of IEM COE
Internal capability development of ability to sell value adding solutions, i.e.:
- Provide content for marketing material and train/onboard local sales employees with KAM
- Visiting and participating in exhibitions and external trainings for expand (product – application) knowledge.
- Support product portfolio development across applications based on end-user needs.
- Drive new product introductions within the Sales organization.
- Identify end-to-end capability gaps hindering success of new offerings + propose plans to close critical gaps.
- Monitor and keep up to date on overall market needs – market knowledge, customers, competitors, application & market trends.
Your background
We imagine that you have:
- A degree in engineering, ideally in the fields of mechanical, electrical, process or industrial engineering.
- Strong application, product and commercial knowledge/experience across Water Treatment, Temperature Control, or Industrial Processes.
- Commercial understanding and experience from customer-facing roles.
- Strong presentation and communication skills to drive internal sales trainings.
- Willingness to travel 70-100 days a year.
- Good IT skills (MS Office, Outlook, CRM and BW).
- Professional English communication skills to be able to engage in a global team.
