The Opportunity
This position works out of our Lake Forest, IL facility.

Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments, and informatics systems is often the first step in patient care decision-making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.
What You’ll Work On
The Finance Supervisor, Gross Margin Improvement Program will be responsible for leading efforts to further advance analytical capabilities outside of the traditional FP&A process. This position presents an opportunity for development with exposure to senior leaders and all functional areas in Core Lab (Commercial, Operations, R&D, Service). It also provides an opportunity for a driven individual to create custom tools, analytics, and process improvements to drive effective data-based decision making.
Responsibilities Include:
• Prepare various management presentations, financial modeling, financial analyses, and related consultation to senior divisional management in planning and achieving short- and long-term financial objectives.
• Work with key stakeholders to map out processes, identify data sources, and provide insightful analysis for both identified and potential savings opportunities.
• Identify and implement opportunities for continued improvement and simplification of financial and business processes.
• Lead divisional project management, corporate projects, and ad hoc divisional initiatives while delivering best-in-class financial support.
• Ensure integrity and completeness of data within the GMI Actuals Tracker and Provide technical support to GMI leads and finance team members.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of applicable experience in diversified finance/accounting roles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, sense of urgency, and continuous improvement mindset
• Ability to think conceptually and strategically, while maintaining a results-driven approach
• Ability to effectively work and communicate cross-functionally, with a strong desire to learn the business
Preferred Qualifications
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
• TM1 experience a plus
