We are a rapidly growing company with an immediate, full-time opening for a qualified candidate in the customer service field. Our dedicated team has over 40 years of experience in the design, manufacturing, and quality control of microsurgical instruments.

Job Summary:

Kogent Surgical Customer Service Specialist responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage all customer account responsibilities, including but not limited to: Processing and canceling orders, changing billing and shipping information and altering any customer account information
  • Provide education to the customer and help to resolve any issues that the customer presents, while portraying a positive image of the company
  • Operates as another Customer Service backup to sister company, to assist in the operations of the department.
  • Acts as a liaison with other departments sales, inventory, quality, and manufacturing management to ensure that customer care at Kogent Surgical is met in every work area.
  • Has an understanding of medical devices and customer service and is able to address customer needs on a multi-facet level.
  • Oversees all paperwork and inventory changes.
  • Update customer account information, including adding and canceling orders, changing billing and shipping information, and any other customer account alterations.
  • Keep up to date with back-ordered items, to assure that they ship in a timely manner specified on the order confirmation.
  • Maintain organization of the inventory room, including recording of accurate quantities of goods added and removed daily.
  • Filing of customer invoices and other paperwork in appropriate customer files. Responsible for recording lot numbers on items shipped.
  • Filing and organization of inspection forms once items are packaged and placed into inventory.
  • Process repairs, including creating correct paperwork, deadlines, needed product, and repacking of goods to be placed in inventory.
  • Communicate with shipping outlets (FedEx, UPS, USPS) to assure that shipments are arriving on time.
  • Process RMAs and determine correct course of action required for returned goods.
  • Follow-up on 30-Day Demo Instruments
  • Answer all calls and assist customers
  • Inform Marketing of any potential product complaints and assist with investigations
  • Keep track of office supply quantities and alert purchasing when supplies diminish

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred
  • Experience in Microsoft Office is a MUST.
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, team oriented, and exceptionally attentive to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond to multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment & creative problem solving skills.
  • Ability to use ALL office software that pertains to the position, including Microsoft Office Suite and Quickbooks.
  • Customer Service/Sales experience is required.
