Job Summary:The Machine Compliance Technician Supervisor provides leadership to, and supervision of, the Machine Compliance Unit to ensure the regulations and technical standards requirements for gaming devices, progressive systems, slot accounting systems, kiosks, and/or other gaming peripherals are met and in compliance with the Arizona Tribal-State Gaming Compact and appendices. The Machine Compliance Technician Supervisor will provide training and development to the team in all areas of gaming and regulation, and will monitor and manage the team with database entry and quality assurance. Additionally, the Machine Compliance Technician Supervisor will assist and support the Machine Compliance Manager and interact with employees of the tribal gaming offices, casino operations, vendors, and the general public.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.
Job Duties:- Manages and supervises all affairs of the Machine Compliance Unit and leads the Unit in support of the Department's mission and policies. Monitors and leads the Machine Compliance team to ensure accuracy on machine certifications and database entry. Consults with appropriate personnel regarding unit goals, objectives, accountability and delivery of services.
- Strives to promote a diverse work environment in which the Unit's employees are treated with trust and respect. Manages conflict in a way to find collaborative resolution. Takes initiative to problem solve in a team environment and make well thought out decisions for the Machine Compliance Unit as a whole.
- Cooperates with unit staff in the design, development, modification and implementation of unit projects, programs, and standard work. Develops effective monitoring and evaluation procedures for new and ongoing projects to assure conformance and integrity.
- Works closely with Tribal Gaming Offices, Gaming Facility Operators, and vendors to identify and explain potential areas of non-compliance with the Arizona Tribal-State Gaming Compact and appendices. Work in partnership with the partners and stakeholders to collaboratively find solutions to resolve any non-compliant issues.
- Must be capable of working independently on difficult assignments, gathering facts, organizing, analyzing and comprehending information to make logical interpretations necessary to perform operational duties.
