As a Senior Manager 3, Supply Chain Strategy, you'll be a key enabler of missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.
Northrop Grumman’s Tactical Space Systems Division is looking for a Manager 3, Supply Chain Strategy to lead our strategic sourcing activities across the division. The Manager, Supply Chain Strategy will be responsible for partnering through the program lifecycle to ensure supply chain strategies and our supply base are positioned to support cost, schedule and technical performance for the business. The selected candidate will report to the Global Supply Chain Division Director and manage a small team.
This position offers a hybrid schedule and will be based onsite in one of the following locations:
- Dulles, VA
- Gilbert, AZ
This is not a telecommuting position. No relocation will be offered.
In this role, the successful candidate will have experience in full lifecycle supply chain engagements, project management, risk management, and have strong organizational, technical, and programmatic skills. Job duties include:
Development and project management of sourcing strategies that address known supply base risks (i.e., limited competition, performance and capacity constraints, etc.), affordability and manufacturability, and small business requirements
Driving supplier capability assessments and supplier development efforts to position for execution success
Engagement with Business Development to understand technology roadmaps and align on platform supplier / commodity strategies to address future needs
Development of division-wide long-range demand forecasts and engaging supplier and NG investments / business cases (i.e., risk work, long term agreements, etc.) to achieve cost/schedule objectives and improve the speed of execution
Partner closely with the broader GSC team as well as engineering, quality and program teams to support vertical integration, make/buy, and inventory management opportunities

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, supply chain or related discipline from an accredited educational institution
- 8 years (master’s with 6 years) of relevant experience supporting U.S. Government contracts/subcontracts and customers and/or program management
- 3 years of management experience and demonstrated ability to lead teams and develop talent
- Experience developing and implementing strategies to address highly complex supply base issues across myriad phases of the program lifecycle.
- Experience building strategic business cases to support project recommendations that return value to the business.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with supply chain processes and strategic sourcing strategies that enable the business.
- Familiarity and application of Northrop Grumman supply chain processes, tools, and programs.
