About the role

Description

Hospice of the Piedmont is dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to patients and their families during challenging times. We are seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant. This position will support the functions and employees of Hospice of the Piedmont with the highest level of skill and respect by providing reception, phone coverage, and general administrative support.


Responsibilities/General Duties (Including but not limited to):

  • Support our mission and values through daily work.
  • Respond to telephone calls, route calls to appropriate parties, and take messages.
  • Ensure timely responses and follow-up.
  • Perform word processing and data entry for various departments as needed.
  • Assist staff with administrative support as requested.
  • Greet team members and visitors in a positive and helpful manner, providing directions, information, and other assistance as needed.
  • Perform various clerical duties such as photocopying forms and reports, typing letters, forms, and labels, and mailing and faxing forms, etc.
  • Maintain an adequate level of office supplies and necessary forms, ordering office supplies from the appropriate department to facilitate smooth department operations.
  • Support State and Federal regulatory requirements by keeping files organized and as required.
  • Provide front desk reception coverage when needed.
  • Adhere to the practice of confidentiality regarding patients, families, staff, and the Agency.

Requirements

 Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED diploma required.
  • One to two years of experience in an administrative and/or receptionist capacity where meeting, greeting, providing customer service, and interacting with visitors and the public were part of the position responsibility.
  • Knowledge and professional use of a multi-line telephone system is required.
  • Basic proficiency and/or experience using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software required.
  • Basic knowledge and experience utilizing Internet and e-mail software required.
  • Intermediate proficiency utilizing a personal computer and Microsoft Word Suite products.
  • Must demonstrate basic computer skills.
