Cross Dock Lead

POSITION SUMMARY:
- Perform daily meetings to address safety, workloads, and potential issues
- Make sure all employees know how to verify all shipments against bill of lading or freight bill and check for damages on material; sent report to plants.
- Closely monitor buyers/planners email requests or changes
- Coordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers, cross dock warehouse providers and brokers
- Assist to update all work instructions and DCPROs when required
- Verify that trailers and trucks are properly shocked and safe for use.
- Guide all associates to ensure all raw materials are accurately received, transfer and ship to Juarez and Chihuahua plants
- Log all supplier’s discrepancies on a daily basis
- Constantly communicate with plants buyers to resolve vendor issues and discrepancies
- Assure that Trade Compliance 19 inspection points is being performed before loading a trailer.
- Verify that Bill of Lading for Hazardous materials is properly filled out and trucks going to plants are loaded according to specifications.
- Assure all rework is sent to Juarez and Chihuahua plants.
- Make sure that all raw materials are transferred to plants in the JDE system.
- Verify that all trucks going into Mexico are loaded and sealed.
- Assure all metrics logs are filled daily and accurately
- Assist in tracking any missing shipment
- Assist to verify that procedures for ISO 9001 are properly done.
- Maintain a teamwork environment through communication, goals, and active participation in cross training.
- Maintain communication with supervisors and management so changes, needs and resources are adequately met, and work is efficient.
- Other duties as assigned
SPECIFIC TYPES OF KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:
1 minimum year material handling and dock operations experience
- Communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to read, comprehend and explain written instructions and procedures
- 1 years or more of forklift stand up driving experience and have current Forklift Certification
- Intermediate Computer skills in excel, word, power point, carrier tracking.
- Experience inventory management and record keeping skills
- Flexible with working hours
- Bilingual Spanish – English
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Make sure all raw material is received and crossed in a timely manner to production lines in sister plants
- Documents and all material damages and discrepancies
- Efficiently manage receipts and staging areas to maintain an efficient dock floor flow
