HYBRID ROLE: 3x/week in the office

About the Role:

The Product FP&A Director will lead financial planning & analysis and directly support Gen’s Chief Product Officer and the Product GMs / PMs, as well as Gen’s Chief Support and Services Officer.  This role reports directly into the Head of FP&A and will be part of the FP&A team. Success in this role will require the ability to partner and shape the product strategy, understand key drivers, drive process improvements, and develop an executive level story. This individual will be viewed as a key financial business partner and “go to person” for product financial analysis, insight, and counsel.

Location:  Tempe, AZ or Mountain View, CA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end financial and strategic planning processes for Gen’s product teams, including business reviews, Board materials, budgeting, forecasting, product COGS / opex planning, and strategic headcount planning.  You will help drive alignment with product strategy and financials to support and enable growth.
  • Define & help deliver the strategy for our products with rigorous thinking and frameworks, attuned to market trends and competitive dynamics to inform financial strategies.  Lead and provide financial modeling support to the Chief Product Officer to inform product strategy.
  • Provide analytical rigor and bring strategic financial leadership to operational initiatives. Support key strategic Product launches and initiatives that will have meaningful impact on our growth trajectory, working closely with Product, GTM, and Corp Dev / Strategic Partnerships teams.
  • Establish and manage critical success and business performance metrics for product, provide regular reporting to drive continuous improvement and optimization, and communicate actionable insights to relevant stakeholders.
  • Help build and develop a nimble, high caliber team of Finance & Strategy professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in FP&A, including leadership positions with strong track record of increasing scope and responsibility
  • Expert financial modeling skills, including buildout of full-company topline and long-term operating models used to drive product strategy, with strong attention to detail
  • Exemplary ability to distill complex financial information into actionable, strategic insights for leadership to drive business decisions
  • Excellent communication skills and “story telling” ability when presenting data insights, with ability to oscillate between detail and big-picture to tell executive level story
  • Demonstrated business acumen and understanding of business models and metrics that are relevant to Consumer tech companies.  Strong enthusiasm about cyber security industry.
  • Results-driven: Candidate must have the ability to deliver results and possess a strong drive to exceed goals. Willing to take ownership of problems and make sound decisions.
