Junior Helpdesk Technician

SMX is seeking a highly motivated Helpdesk Technician with demonstrated proficiency in customer service and support.

This position requires the ability to obtain a DoD secret security clearance which requires US citizenship for work on a DoD contract.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provides first level technical support for personnel in various locations who have NMCI assets and peripherals
• Generates, monitors, and tracks Move-Add-Change (MAC) requests for funded services
• Addresses, escalates and/or tracks local technical issues and remediation
• Facilitates collection of functional requirements from staff and end-users
• Identifies and documents the current functional requirements of NAWCWD applications
• Follows Configuration Management (CM) processes and utilization of tools identified
• Submits Account buildouts for customers

Required Skill & Experience

• Required clearance:  Secret or the ability to obtain
• Proficient with Windows Operating Systems
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Strong customer service skills

Desired Skills & Experience

• Proficient user of NET and HPSM
• Knowledge of NMCI, Field Services, and STRAN processes and procedures 
• General IT certifications
• IT college credits

The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications. The proposed salary for this position is:$42,200—$63,400 USD
