Position Summary: 

The Maintenance Team Leader is primarily responsible for leading the maintenance team in repair of company equipment and facilities.

 

Roles and Key Responsibilities:

1. Assists the supervisor in directing department activities including:
   1. Monitoring/managing department employees, ensuring compliance with company rules, policies, and procedures.
   2. Planning, coordinating, and managing the maintenance department to ensure that work is completed in a timely manner and that the plant production goals are met.
   3. Ensuring that the necessary parts and supplies are available for scheduled maintenance repair.
2. Performs job and department specific safety and operational training for current and new employees.
3. Must be proficient in the use of the company computer systems to include Microsoft Word, Excel and other systems used within the department.
4. Must possess the verbal and written communication skills necessary to be able to communicate effectively with other employees and vendors.
5. Must be capable of filling in for the maintenance supervisor as needed.
6. Receives employee issues, communicates those problems are opportunities, and assists in problem solving and resolution.
7. Develops and communicates daily work schedules to be completed by individuals within department.
8. Visually monitors supply levels and communicates to ensure proper requisition of parts and supplies.
9. Trains team members on Best Practices that meet both regulatory and company policies.
