Position Summary:
The Maintenance Team Leader is primarily responsible for leading the maintenance team in repair of company equipment and facilities.
Roles and Key Responsibilities:
- Assists the supervisor in directing department activities including:
- Monitoring/managing department employees, ensuring compliance with company rules, policies, and procedures.
- Planning, coordinating, and managing the maintenance department to ensure that work is completed in a timely manner and that the plant production goals are met.
- Ensuring that the necessary parts and supplies are available for scheduled maintenance repair.
- Performs job and department specific safety and operational training for current and new employees.
- Must be proficient in the use of the company computer systems to include Microsoft Word, Excel and other systems used within the department.
- Must possess the verbal and written communication skills necessary to be able to communicate effectively with other employees and vendors.
- Must be capable of filling in for the maintenance supervisor as needed.
- Receives employee issues, communicates those problems are opportunities, and assists in problem solving and resolution.
- Develops and communicates daily work schedules to be completed by individuals within department.
- Visually monitors supply levels and communicates to ensure proper requisition of parts and supplies.
- Trains team members on Best Practices that meet both regulatory and company policies.
