As a Senior Tax Accountant in Omaha (hybrid), you will join a diverse, passionate team, dedicated to powering the world’s payments ecosystem!

Job purpose:

Join a collaborative and high‑performing tax and finance team that supports ACI’s global operations. In this role, you’ll help ensure the company meets its tax compliance, reporting, and financial obligations while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.

This position is ideal for a detail‑oriented accounting professional with strong analytical skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and experience supporting tax reporting and compliance. You will partner closely with accounting and finance stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate, and well‑supported tax and financial reporting - helping ACI continue to innovate and lead in the payments industry.

A typical day at ACI for a Senior Tax Accountant is:

  • Identify and support process improvements and tax data automation
  • Prepare and review tax‑related calculations, schedules, and reconciliations for federal, state, and local filings and audits
  • Assist with quarterly and annual income tax provision processes including complex tax calculations
  • Apply accounting principles to ensure accuracy in tax‑related financial data and general ledger activity
  • Collaborate with internal teams on tax inquiries, audits, and special projects
  • Perform tax and accounting research on various projects

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed to succeed in this role: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data validation)
  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial reporting
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with large or complex data sets
  • Exposure to tax compliance, tax provision support, audit assistance, or tax research
  • Experience partnering with cross‑functional accounting or finance teams
  • OneSource tax provision and Alteryx experience a plus, but not required
