Formosa Plastics is a privately held company headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey. Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.


I. POSITION OBJECTIVE
This position serves as the primary point of contact for developing and maintaining strategic workforce partnerships with school districts, colleges, universities, technical programs, and community organizations. The role is responsible for building sustainable talent pipelines that connect educational achievement to meaningful career opportunities within FPC TX.
This position promotes career awareness and workforce readiness through career fairs, classroom presentations, educational outreach initiatives, internships, apprenticeships, and workforce development programs. The role collaborates closely with internal departments, educational partners, and community stakeholders to support curriculum alignment, career pathway development, and long-term workforce planning.
The position also coordinates FPC TX employee participation on educational advisory boards and committees to support curriculum development, industry alignment, and workforce readiness initiatives. This role exercises independent judgment, strong relationship management skills, and professional representation of the Company while supporting long-term recruiting and workforce development goals.
This position is responsible for executing and supporting all aspects of talent acquisition for FPC TX. This position partners with management and Human Resources to attract, evaluate, and onboard qualified candidates while ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and company employment regulations. The role provides professional guidance to hiring managers, coordinates onboarding and pre-employment processes, supports immigration and non-immigration activities, and ensures a positive candidate and new hire experience. The position exercises independent judgement, maintains strict confidentiality, and contributes to workforce stability, regulatory compliance, and achievement of company goals and objectives.
II. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Educational Partnership Development: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with school districts, colleges, universities, technical schools, workforce agencies, and community organizations to create sustainable talent pipelines aligned with Company workforce needs.
Workforce Pipeline & Career Pathway Development: Coordinate and support initiatives that create direct pathways from educational achievement to employment opportunities, including internships, apprenticeships, scholarships, mentorship programs, and career readiness activities.
Career Outreach & Employer Branding: Represent FPC TX at career fairs, industry events, classroom presentations, student workshops, and community outreach activities. Promote awareness of manufacturing careers, company culture, safety expectations, and growth opportunities.
Advisory Board & Curriculum Collaboration: Coordinate participation of FPC TX employees on educational advisory boards, career and technical education committees, and workforce development councils. Collaborate with educational partners to support curriculum alignment with current and future industry workforce needs.
