ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Leads the management of our Fashion, Jewelry & Watches, and Home Decor merchandising assortments while maximizing revenue and gross margin. Ensures that merchandise plans are in alignment with our overall Merchandising business plans and strategies. 

• Evaluates vendor capabilities as merchandise suppliers and selects those best suited to compliment the company’s merchandising strategies.  Develops and grows business relationships with supplier/vendors. Vets opportunities for new business. 

• Recommends changes in processes to improve service, quality, and/or reduce costs. 

• Monitors supplier performance and reconciles quality and/or fulfillment concerns to ensure quality standards are consistently met. 

• Collaborates with Marketing to create promotional/campaign calendars and provides insights for campaigns. 

• Collaborates with various cross-functional teams in support of the execution of merchandising strategies. 

• Follows prescribed legal guidelines and requirements. 

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5-8 Merchandising experience in Lifestyle classifications with 3+ years of management experience.  

• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).   

• Must have proven ability to collaborate with others to understand and complete project goals.   

• Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills and be able to professionally interact with suppliers and employees at all levels of the company.   

• Must have excellent time management and decision-making skills and be able to prioritize and organize tasks and projects.  Must have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines, work independently, and be proactive.   

• Must be able to pay attention to detail and work effectively and collaboratively across various departments to meet goals and deadlines.  Must have highly developed and creative problem-solving and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SQL skills

• Graduate degree in Merchandising, Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or a related field.

Education/ Licensing/Certification:

Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Economics or a related field or any combination of education and/or experience based on the table above is required.

Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods at a time.
