Job Overview
Shriners Children's St. Louis has an opportunity for a Nurse Manager in our Inpatient and PACU departments. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. Responsibilities
- The Nurse Manager provides leadership in working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
- The Nurse Manager maintains clinical skills and acts as both a clinical leader and resource nurse, as well as, administrative leader, assuming 24-hour responsibility for the unit.
- Responsibilities include assessment, direction, planning, evaluating, and development of the In-patient Nursing and PACU divisions in coordination with the identified needs of patients and families.
- This position will be responsible for overseeing daily nursing practice in an assigned department to ensure that safe and appropriate care is provided.
- The Nurse Manager will collaborate actively with medical, administrative, and interdisciplinary leadership to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree (BSN)
Active RN license in state of practice
5 years’ experience as a clinical nurse
5 years’ experience charge nurse / team lead
Critical care experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred:
1 year of pediatric and/or orthopedic experience
1 year experience in clinical research
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
