EquipmentShare is searching for an Engineering Procurement Specialist for the manufacturing facility in Moberly, Mo., to manage the sourcing and procurement processes.

Primary Responsibilities for an Engineering Procurement Specialist

  • Direct and oversee the sourcing and procurement processes for the category across EquipmentShare
  • Collaborate and work with the organization’s management during vendor evaluation and selection, as well as purchase contract negotiations and service level agreements
  • Oversee and manage the creation of new and renewed vendor relationships and contracts
  • Develop relationships with vendors for custom manufacturing and outsourcing 
  • Negotiate the best pricing and value for products and services in the most cost-effective and time-efficient manner 
  • Develop technical data packages (drawings, packaging, material handling, kitting, etc.) for contract manufacturers and ensure requirements are met
  • Evaluate product vendors and study market trends to identify the best vendor options and predict product availability
  • Guide, mentor & develop team members and vendors to meet business goals and targets
  • Forecast, monitor inventory, order products to meet internal and external demands 
  • Review product quality and effectiveness for EquipmentShare’s needs
  • Review current category service and product to identify areas of price reduction, efficient purchasing, improvement, category usage and spend
  • Assist in the development of standards, processes and best practices for the Procurement department
  • Communicate clearly and collaborate across all teams organization-wide to achieve goals and establish transparent procurement processes
