Job Description
General Summary Of Duties:
Procure quality food and beverage products at the best price and delivery.
Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)
Under direct supervision of the Purchasing Director, tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Process requests for food and beverage.
Create and maintain Blanket Purchase Orders for F&B suppliers.
Ensure quality service and best available price on goods and services in an ethical manner without compromising quality.
Prepare Purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services within applicable deadlines to ensure timely delivery.
Purchase the highest quality items at the lowest possible price and in correct amounts.
Ensure accurate and timely delivery of purchased items to correct department and activities within the property/casino.
Be a brand ambassador and enforce the procurement policy and procedures. Training of team members on procurement policy and software as assigned.
Confirm purchase orders have the correct pricing and delivery dates.
Ensure requisitions are adequately approved and that variance between approved amounts and actual cost is communicated to the respective parties prior to incurring the expense.
Resolve discrepancies and disputes regarding pricing, payment, quality, backorders, substitutions, deliveries, and vendor's issues and communicate these issues to the Director of Procurement.
Qualifications
Performance Requirements: (Knowledge, skills and abilities)
Ability to effectively deal with internal/external customers, some of whom will require patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and solve concerns.
Ability to act independently while analyzing data and drawing conclusions from written and computer-generated materials.
Ability to work in unfavorable conditions which can occasionally be hot, cold, and noisy to perform duties.
Ability to organize/prioritize work, meet deadlines, work with minimal supervision/multiple interruptions, exercise judgement and adapt instructions/directions from one assignment to another.
Ability to remain alert throughout the duration of the shift and remain calm during emergency situations.
Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Keeps commitments. Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.

Additional Information
Experience Requirements:
3+ years in Purchasing
Must have Stratton Warren Experience
Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Education Requirements:
4-year degree; Supply Chain preferred or equivalent experience
