<p>Job Description:</p><p>In order to manage current and future projects, Airbus Helicopters is looking for you to join the team in Donauwörth as soon as possible as our new</p><p></p><p>Patent Engineer (d/f/m)</p><p></p><p>In order to manage current and future projects, Airbus Helicopters is looking for you to join the Research &amp; Innovation team in Donauwörth as soon as possible as our new Patent Engineer (d/f/m).</p><p>Inside the department, the Intellectual Property (IP) Service is responsible for securing AH technical innovation and freedom to operate for our R&amp;D and R&amp;T projects, external collaborations and commercial agreements.</p><p></p><p>You will integrate a transnational team (France &amp; Germany) covering three pillars: Patent Filing &amp; Administration, IP Intelligence and Contracts &amp; Agreements. </p><p></p><p></p><p>Your location</p><p>At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. PATENTS FILING &amp; ADMINISTRATION: </p><ul><li>supporting the inventor to analyse the invention and propose the best means of protection</li><li>ensuring the interface between the inventor and the patent attorney/authorities during the patent filing process</li><li>managing the patent portfolio during the patent lifetime: deciding on foreign extensions, renewal, withdrawal</li><li>contributing to IP training sessions organized for AH staff in the frame of the continuous awareness</li></ul><p></p><p>2. PATENT MONITORING &amp; IP INTELLIGENCE: </p><ul><li>coordinating the IP Focal point community: engineers and experts from other departments contributing to AH global intelligence</li><li>monitoring competitors and partners new patents that are potentially relevant regarding AH activities</li><li>performing Freedom to Operate analysis (FTO) and identifying potential interferences with AH patents/products/projects</li><li>making recommendations to preserve the interests of the company with adequate actions (patent application, opposition or claim)</li></ul><p></p><p>3. CONTRACTS AND COOPERATION AGREEMENTS:</p><ul><li>supporting the R&amp;T or R&amp;D Project Manager regarding the IP stakes during the negotiation of the collaboration agreements and during the contract execution in order to ensure that the IP protection is regularly updated</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p>Desired skills and qualifications</p><ul><li>completed studies (Master/Diploma) in engineering or a related discipline, ideally with extensive knowledge in the fields of aviation and helicopters</li><li>several years of engineering or project management experience with extensive technological content</li><li>extensive knowledge in the field of aviation with a focus on helicopters</li><li>intellectual property/patent experience would be a plus</li><li>ability to analyze/synthesize, work in a structured manner</li><li>customer focused and service oriented </li><li>language skills: German and English Negotiable, French an advantage</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p>Not a 100% match?
