About the role

Job Summary: Design test cases for new features, manually run test cases and share the results with developer and PM and automate test cases and place them in CI framework. Run performance tests, check system capability, and provide the acquired data to the team for future analysis.
 

*Telecommuting role to be performed in anywhere in the U.S.

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with IT to install systems, check whether the configuration is correct, and create analysis reports based on different configurations.
  • Build container technology and the Kubernetes cluster management system. Responsible for all aspects of quality for Red Hat OpenShift, including designing test plans, extending automation frameworks, and developing new automated tests for back and front ends.
  • Ensure the solutions fulfill the highest possible enterprise quality, performance, usability, and supportability.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Run functional, integration, regression, performance, and scalability tests using open-source tools for Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Design and build a continuous testing environment for quick service and product release using efficient tools.
  • Conduct failure analysis, explore, identify, and document new bugs, advocate for the resolution of bugs, and communicate the impact on customers to developer and support teams.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and five (5) of years of experience in the job offered or related role.
  • Must have three (3) years of experience with: Linux operating system (any distribution); Agile software development and test methodologies; software configuration management using Git; CICD system set up and pipeline deployment such as Jenkins, Prow; and analysis to identify defects, troubleshoot, and debug them.
  • Must have three (3) years of programming experience with Bash, Java, or Python.
  • Must have two (2) years of experience with: provisioning test infrastructure in on-premise clouds or public clouds; Kubernetes or OpenShift; Automating web applications and automation testing tools such as Cypress, Selenium, or BrowserStack; Microservices architecture and concepts Restful APIs; Performance and load-testing scripts to identify and address performance bottlenecks; and containerized image registries and registry.

The salary range for this position is $134,618 - $203,180. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
