We have an opportunity at our Montgomery, IL location for a Manufacturing Area Manager overseeing the operations of engineered bearing components. This role requires both technical knowledge of production processes and the ability to lead people toward high performance and continuous improvement. The manager is expected to drive results through employee development, collaboration, and effective use of resources while adhering to regulatory and operational standards
Job Responsibilities:
Management of Production Process:
- Directly oversee the production team and operations within the assigned area.
- Ensure smooth and efficient production aligned with production plans.
- Apply problem-solving techniques to address challenges in production processes.
Safety and Continuous Improvement:
- Promote a culture of safety, ensuring adherence to safety standards and 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
- Focus on continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes.
Quality and Productivity:
- Ensure that production output meets the required quality standards and goals.
- Maintain high-quality operations in compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Compliance with Standards and Regulations:
- Enforce compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure that team members are aware of and adhere to the standards.
Employee Development:
- Actively support the growth and development of subordinate employees.
- Coach and mentor team members to help them achieve personal and professional goals.
- Facilitate training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
Coordination of Multi-disciplined Teams:
- Lead cross-functional teams to accomplish objectives aligned with the plant’s business plan.
- Ensure collaboration between departments and encourage teamwork to meet plant goals..
