Quality Assurance Technician

Summary

U.S. manufacturer of specialized electronic connectors including high-voltage interconnects, aerospace connectors, underwater connectors, high current connectors, and multi-pin cable assemblies has an opening in Toledo, OH for a Quality Assurance Technician. This position works closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality related issues.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Participate in audits of processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance.
• Investigate and resolve quality concerns working with the Sales team.
• Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, tests, and findings.
• Assist in maintaining QMS Certification in AS 9100/ISO 9001.
• Review gauging and inspection systems.
• Calibrate and verify test equipment ensuring reference standards are current.
• Execute CMM measurement and provide first article data/reports.
• Perform start up inspections utilizing the first and last piece process.
• Take part in monthly KPI reporting for management review.
• Regulatory compliance including creation/dissemination of status for various regulations.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in related field, or at least 3 years relevant experience.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, layout techniques, GD&T, and compliance regulations.
• Experience with AS 9100/ISO 9001 requirements preferred.
• Knowledge of quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA).
• CMM operations and reporting preferred.
• Strong manual dexterity required.
• Attention to detail, well organized, and consistency a must.
• Able to sit or stand for long periods of time doing repetitive tasks.
• Must lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Sustained dependable attendance.
• Open to changing work methods to accomplish assigned tasks.
