This advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Union Correctional Institution in Pharmacy Services.
Salary: $105,991.08 Annual Rate
SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides supervision of pharmacy services for a pharmacy cluster.
- Supervises and participates in the compounding, pre-packaging, dispensing, purchasing, storage and inventory control functions of a pharmacy's services.
- Provides direct supervision to Sr. Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians. Prepares performance standards and provides input on evaluations for pharmacy personnel, makes recommendations on personnel actions regarding selection, promotion, absences and grievances to appropriate authority.
- Supervises pharmacy clinical services to clinical staff regarding the pharmaceutical components of each patient's treatment plan and consults with prison medical staff.
- Ensures timely delivery of pharmaceutical products to pre-determined sites.
- Ensures all pharmacy staff are familiar with computer software programs as required by applicable state and federal rules and regulations to ensure proper tracking of prescriptions and inmates.
- Evaluates drug therapy with respect to diagnosis, drug dispensing patterns to a given patient population, general and brand name substitution patters, and observation of cost limits customary charge regulations.
- Consults with health care administrators, physicians, nurses, and others concerning medication and pharmaceutical services standards related to licensure.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Clear/Active Florida Pharmacist License.
