<p><span><b><b>Job Description:</b></b></span></p><p><span>Airbus Defence and Space in Manching is looking for a</span></p><p></p><h1>Equipment Engineer (d/f/m) Eurofighter Sensor Systems</h1><p></p><p>Our team is responsible to develop sensor equipment solutions for the Eurofighter, e.g. E-Scan Radar as well as Defensive Aids products, within national as well as multi-national projects supporting the overall product life cycle: starting with technology and research projects, feasibility studies and system definition phases, development, integration and qualification tasks and finally to support the introduction to customer fleet.</p><p>We are looking for a highly motivated engineer to strengthen our team regarding the software as well as airborne electronic hardware development activities for the new Eurofighter E-Scan Radar system (ECRS Mk1).</p><p></p><p><span>This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.</span></p><p></p><p><b>Your location</b></p><p>Located about an hour’s drive north of Munich, Manching is an up-and-coming market town that offers a wide range of leisure and cultural activities. Here, you can enjoy the quality of life in the countryside while the pleasures of near-by cities are still within easy reach.</p><p></p><p><b>Your benefits:</b></p><ul><li>Be part of an international and growing team composed of nearly 30 engineers located in Manching directly influencing Eurofighter’s future</li><li>Collaboration and communication directly with various Airbus Center of Competences, Airbus PMO, suppliers, partner companies and our customers</li><li>Activities and tasks as part of varying projects across multiple product life cycle stages</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Your tasks and responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Analyse Eurofighter Avionics as well as Equipment requirements and design to derive requirements relevant for software and airborne electronic hardware development (procedural &amp; functional) in cooperation with the Equipment supplier</li><li>Support the requirements based engineering of the Equipment supplier and validate the derived software and airborne electronic hardware design concepts</li><li>Give guidance and harmonize development and qualification planning between Airbus Engineering and Equipment supplier</li><li>Support qualification and verification activities at supplier’s premises</li><li>Validate supplier’s software and airborne electronic hardware development artefacts; contribute to development milestone reviews</li><li>Support technical workshops with stakeholders from Airbus, suppliers and partner companies</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Desired skills and qualification:</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor/Master in Software Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or Electrical Engineering</li><li>Knowledge about requirements based engineering as well as software and/or airborne electronic hardware development processes</li><li>Knowledge about <span><span>qualification/certification</span></span> requirements for airborne systems (e.g. DO-254, DO-178)</li><li>Knowledge about Eurofighter Weapon System Avionics as well as Radar functionality is an advantage</li><li>Experience in software and/or airborne electronic hardware development</li><li>Experience with supplier management is an advantage</li><li>Fluent German and English</li><li>Good communication skills</li><li>Eager to work in international projects and as part of an interdisciplinary team</li><li>Interest and ability to work on different projects simultaneously</li></ul><p></p><p>Not a 100% match?
