Description
Position Summary:
· Responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the corporation in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Experience:
- Perform and manage monthly financial closing.
- Prepare monthly trial balance and financial statements.
- Perform and manage full reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
- Generate various management reports on a monthly, and as needed basis.
- Key liaison with outside accounting firm, attorneys, tax authorities, and outside banking/financial contacts.
- Evaluate financial feasibility of new initiatives.
- Responsible for creating an annual budget and evaluating performance against such budget – monthly.
- Perform detailed analysis of specific income and expense line items as needed.
- Prepare consolidation on a quarterly basis, including intercompany reconciliations.
- Evaluate and streamline all systems to provide for more efficient completion of workload.
- Supervise and direct accounting personnel.
- Communicate and coordinate with various department supervisors on an ongoing basis.
- Leadership for internal technology.
- Review and approve contracts, invoices, and delivery orders.
- Review/approve AP and sign checks.
- Assess and monitor all risk management associated with the Company to include property, liability, marine, and workers compensation etc.
- Responsible for evaluations of annual contracts and associated proposal process.
- Point of contact for the internal and outsourced IT function.
Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting. CPA preferred.
· Excellent people skills, with experience collaborating in multi-disciplinary, diverse and dynamic teams.
· Demonstrated experience in financial management and accounting.\
· Experience should include legal, audit, compliance, and budget.
· Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and proposing new ways of creating efficiencies.
· Proven effectiveness leading professionals in finance and accounting.
· Technologically savvy, with the ability to lead IT staff and implement new processes and systems.
· Flexible and a self-starter; able to multi-task while also being highly detail oriented.
· Must have high degree of integrity and credibility.
· Proficient with Microsoft Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
· Experience with accounting software.
