Work Location & Shifts:
7220 US Highway 158, Stokesdale, NC 27357

Monday – Thursday 2:30PM -12:00AM; OT as needed 

 

 

What your day in this role might involve at OC Stokesdale:

The primary purpose of this position is to support the shipping of freight in a safe manner while minimizing damage to product to service both production and customers.

 

• Obtain a forklift certification.
• Follow all forklift rules and safety regulations.
• Keep all doorways, aisles, electrical panel boxes, and fire extinguishers clear at all times.
• Blow forklift out once a week and perform daily checklist.
• Notify supervisor of any damage to forklift, material or buildings immediately.
• Keep bays of material in order and organized and safe.
• Keep bays at least 18 inches away from the wall and maintain proper aisle ways.
• Maintain a safe and organized shipping area and warehouse per Endura 5S standards.
• Make sure all units are packaged for damage free shipping.
• Load and unload units to the Lantech shrink wrap machine and attach cartons to skid labels using RF system. Take material to truck staging areas and keep outgoing shipments organized.
• Load trucks with customer shipments ensuring that all materials are secured to minimize transportation damage to the load and accurately loaded with the correct material.
• Safely and securely load and unloaded trucks.
• Generate appropriate paperwork for outbound shipments, including BOL and packing lists.
• Be able to perform inventory transactions related to shipping.
• This job includes other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

 

What makes a successful OC Stokesdale team member:

Must haves include…

• HS Diploma or GED
• Able to effectively communicate orally and in writing
• Able to read a tape measure
• Able to pass written and driving test for forklift

 

Would be terrific if you also had…

• Preferably one year experience in a manufacturing setting

 

There are some essential physical requirements specific to our work environment, including being able to:

• Lift 35lbs
• Sit on forklift for the entire shift
• Normal and corrected hearing and vision are essential with manual coordination.
• Climb and descend stairs as needed for the role
• Some walking, bending, twisting and stooping, and lifting approximately 35 lbs.
• Must have good hand eye coordination and be mechanically adaptable to using forklift controls.
• Withstand exposure to temperature extremes; sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable
• Be exposed to wood dust and aluminum with no factors or hazards present to a disagreeable extent.
