Data Collection Manager

About the role:

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Data Collection Manager to join the Official Data Collection Network (ODCN) department. The Data Collection Manager will support and manage a network of sports Data Collectors in various countries. DCM will provide training, monitor data quality, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and compliant data collection. The DCM will collaborate with the Scheduling, Training and Game Supervision teams on daily basis. 

The role is hybrid, working Monday to Friday.
Data Collection Manager reports to Lead Data Collection Manager.

 

What will you do:

  • Maintaining existing networks of Data Collectors from sports events in various countries

  • Providing the right tools, training, and information to Data Collectors to perform their duties properly

  • Monitoring the quality of data

  • Regularly providing feedback to Data Collectors about the quality of the data they collect

  • Setting goals and direction of work for internal teams in areas under your responsibility

  • Planning and resource management of subordinate Data Collectors teams

  • Checking whether data collection activities are consistent with company policy and legal requirements

  • Maintaining continuous communication with internal teams and Data Collector networks

  • Monitoring the correct and effective use of processes and tools.

What will you need:

  • Very good level of spoken and written English (at least B2)

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

  • Interest in creating sports processes and rules (incl. football, basketball and volleyball)

  • Ability to work effectively with people from different cultures and backgrounds
    Advanced interpersonal skills (ability to effectively delegate, resolve conflicts and actively listen)

  • High motivation and willingness to act and innovate

  • Very good self-organization and time management

  • Tech savvy.

Nice to have:  

  • Experience as manager or leader
