We are seeking an Expert-Level Ignition Developer and Integrator with extensive experience in controls hardware and software engineering, machine automation, and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Ignition by Inductive Automation and be capable of designing, developing, and integrating advanced SCADA systems. This role requires a strong background in manufacturing processes, with the ability to implement and optimize machine automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency and reliability.

What You Will Do:

Ignition SCADA Development & Integration:

  • Design, develop, and deploy complex Ignition SCADA systems for various industrial applications.
  • Integrate Ignition systems with existing PLCs, HMIs, databases, and other industrial control systems.
  • Customize and configure Ignition software to meet specific project requirements, including developing custom scripts and templates.

Controls Hardware & Software Engineering:

  • Design and implement control systems, including PLC programming, hardware selection, and network configuration.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers to specify and design control panels and hardware components.
  • Develop and test software solutions that interface with industrial hardware, ensuring seamless communication and control.

Machine Automation:

  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of machine automation solutions for manufacturing processes.
  • Implement control algorithms and programs for automated equipment, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to automation systems and controls hardware.

Manufacturing Process Improvement:

  • Leverage extensive manufacturing experience to analyze processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with production teams to implement automated solutions that enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
  • Ensure all automation solutions comply with safety standards and best practices in manufacturing.

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage projects from conception through completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and IT, to ensure successful project execution.
  • Document project progress, including technical specifications, design documents, and user manuals.

Training & Support:

  • Provide training and support to end-users and maintenance teams on Ignition systems and automated equipment.
  • Develop comprehensive training materials and conduct workshops to ensure knowledge transfer.

Qualifications You Must Have: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience and a minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Extensive experience in developing and integrating Ignition SCADA systems. Strong expertise in controls hardware engineering, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and industrial networking.
  • Proven experience in machine automation within a manufacturing environment. Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and experience optimizing them through automation.
  • Proficiency in programming languages used in automation and control sys
