PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participates in a training program, under the general supervision of a preceptor that includes patient care through monitoring of patient’s drug therapy for safety, efficacy, and cost effectiveness, administrative responsibilities, research, and quality improvement monitoring, teaching and mentoring responsibilities.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assures compliance with ASHP requirements for accredited residency programs.

Provides clinical pharmacy services to TJUH patients.

Functions as pharmacist in charge during staffing hours.

Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Graduate from an accredited college of Pharmacy

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION:

Eligible for Licensure to practice Pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Attainment of licensure within 6 months or employment status will be at risk up to and including termination.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Hospital experience preferred.
