Jess Legge and Kimberly Lexow were masters of the 9 to 5 - working at a high-growth tech start-up, with one question: “Could the work lunch be better?”

Sifted kitchens are zero food waste with all food scraps being composted and all leftovers being donated everyday. Since launching our donation program, Sifted has donated over $3M in lunches to those who experience food insecurity in our 6 cities. We believe that as our company grows, so does our responsibility therefore we’re constantly looking for ways to improve sustainability and protect our natural resources.

About the role

Schedule: Monday - Friday // 7am - 3pm or 8am - 4pm

Sifted is building out a brand new, dynamic corporate catering space in Bellevue, and needs a highly motivated dishwasher to help launch in the Spring of this year. You will be responsible for washing dishes in one of two dish areas, focusing on the dishware for guests or equipment needed for food production. We are expecting to feed 500-1000 guests daily and need dishwashers that are up for the challenge as we open our new beautiful cafe.

This Monday- Friday role would be perfect for a dishwasher with one to two years experience or someone looking to gain entry to the food service industry. What you'll be doing

• Sets up and maintains dish machine and all necessary equipment
• Sets up and maintains three-compartment sink in the dish room
• Washes, rinse and sanitizes all dishes, food cooking equipment and supplies by using the dish machine or three-compartment sink
• Responsible for keeping dishes and equipment separated by department
• Properly dries dishes on drying rack before putting them away
• Responsible for removing and disposing of garbage, recycle and compost from the dish room
• Polishes Silverware, bowls, plates, cups, mugs, etc.
• Gathers bus tubs with dirty dishes from the café area and washes all items
• Assists with prep projects as assigned or instructed
• Assist with all cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing any items per instruction from Utility Lead, Lead Line Cook, Lead Host, Account Manager, Executive Chef
• Removes all mats from all preparation and service areas
• Project a positive and motivated attitude amongst all Team Members

Our ideal candidate

• Experience in full service, moderate to high volume restaurant, club or catering establishment preferred but not required
• Ability to do repetitive motions daily in regards to washing dishes, putting away dishes & daily cleaning
• Lead by example in all aspects of the business (production/attitude/cleaning/punctuality)
• Lead by example in regards to safety and sanitation standards set by the local Health Department
