Description
THE TEAM
Built for the modern traveler, the 104-key boutique Bottleworks Hotel showcases the best of Indianapolis by weaving historic architectural features with modern hotel amenities.
THE PLAYER
You will serve customers with the consistency and quality food that they expect from our establishment. You will work as a team to create a memorable dining experience for all of our guests.
EVERY DAY, YOU WILL
- Know and understand every item on the menu (including portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules); Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
- Work closely with the Chef to provide absolute consistency on every plate
- Timing is everything; work on timing to get every ticket out in an appropriate amount of time
- During prime service hours, remain focused on designated tasks. Communicate consistently with co-workers
- When your station is ready for service, see who else may need help with prepping and getting ready
- Keep your workstation clean and stocked
- Practice safe knife handling; if training is needed, see the Chef
- Assist in putting away deliveries when help is needed
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Respect each co-worker including front of house
- Open/close the kitchen properly and follow the opening/closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assist others in closing the kitchen. Do not leave until a manager has inspected your station.
- Arrive promptly and in full uniform for all scheduled shifts, including mandatory meetings
- Have fun at work; leave baggage at the door; come to work with a positive attitude ready and willing to help create a positive experience for our guests

Requirements
YOU WILL BE GREAT AT BOTTLEWORKS HOTEL IF
- You have at least one year of Kitchen experience (preferred but not required)
- You possess basic math skills and able to add and subtract
- You have legible handwriting
- You have strong customer service and oral communication skills
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
The team player is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The team player is frequently required to lift, carry, and deliver boxes and items that may weigh up to 50 pounds. If over 18, you will be required to use slicers and heavy equipment. The environment can sometimes be hot and demanding. Smoothly navigate dining room, kitchen and other facility areas, attend work as scheduled, working various schedules and shifts throughout normal business hours. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Non-slip shoes required.
