Job Description:
This position involves frequent interaction with people including, but not limited to:students, faculty, staff, and clients in person, over the phone and via email. Students
are responsible for greeting clients, collecting and recording payments from clients, and student clinicians of client arrival for appointments. Other duties required are
answering multiple phone lines, taking messages, and/or transferring phone calls to other extensions, monitoring the use of clinic materials, and making sure confidential
material is secured. The student who is chosen for the position will also be responsible for making sure the clinic is closed properly before leaving in the evening and opening and closing duties on Saturdays as needed. Clerical duties, such as filing, faxing, copying, etc. are also part of this position at the clinic. Trustworthiness is of the utmost importance as this position will be mostly unsupervised. The person chosen for this position must be reliable, friendly and well organized. It is also important that the individual chosen be comfortable speaking with faculty, staff, students and clients in a professional manner. Attention to detail as well as diligence are qualities we are looking for. Students will be required to complete HIPAA training upon being hired and remain compliant with all HIPAA and clinic policies and procedures. Applicants should show proficiency with verbal and written communication. An intermediate level of use of Microsoft Office and familiarity with office equipment (copiers, phones, faxes, etc.) is appreciated.
Provide general office assistance and support
Greet clients and visitors with excellent customer service; answer inquiries and provide information
Maintain files and reports and ensure confidentiality of information
Assist with various projects, activities or tasks as needed
Ability to comply with University policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
