Overview: The Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting operations, mentor and supervise a team of accountants, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial data. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to process improvement and ethical financial practices.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business.
  • 5+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Experience in financial statements and reporting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel formulas, pivot tables, and templates.
  • Experience with month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of internal controls and ability to identify and implement improvements.
  • Strong analytical skills for variance analysis and financial reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong record of ethics and integrity in financial management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role within a mid-sized to large company.
  • Familiarity with accounting software platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP).
  • Knowledge of fixed asset reporting.
  • A background in decision-making and process improvements related to accounting operations.
