We are looking for:

The Senior Security Operations Engineer will be responsible for owning and maintaining the security of all of the information systems, applications, and data of the organization, and will also be responsible for the daily technical operations of the Security Operations Center (SOC), under the guidance of the SOC manager. This role requires an individual with deep technical expertise in information security, as well as the ability to work both independently and in a team. The Sr. Security Operations Engineer will collaborate with members of the infrastructure team, and drive the adoption of security best practices, improve existing security processes, and ensure adherence to the organization’s security policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to use professional oral and written communication along with strong analytical and critical thinking skills to successfully take ownership and design and drive solutions. Effective and collaborative interactions with colleagues, end users, IT leaders, and business stakeholders are critical to ensure success. The candidate should be an effective change advocate, possessing the ability to understand the impacts of technology transformation.

What will you be doing as a Senior Security Operations Engineer at SimSpace?

  • Architect, design, implement, and maintain integrated network security controls and countermeasures to ensure the highest level of security/integrity. This includes owning and configuring tools such as; EDR, SIEM, IPS/IDS, DLP, VPN, WAF, DNS Filtering, and others.
  • Administer authentication and access controls, including provisioning, changes to access, owning privileged security/access roles, and access permissions to information assets.
  • Work with security leadership on Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) efforts, including audits and risk assessments.
  • Security Integration: Work closely with development teams to incorporate security requirements into the platform's design and development processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security is a fundamental aspect of all aspects of the platform.
