THE JOB:

As a Food and Beverage Runner at Excalibur, you will ensure guests receive prompt and courteous service, enhancing their dining experience with detailed descriptions of each dish and attentive support. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will create WOW moments and lasting memories that extend far beyond their stay. Your role is crucial in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

STARTING RATE: $18.53/hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Warm Welcome: Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner, making them feel welcome.

• Food Delivery: Expedite food from the kitchen to the table, following service sequence and instructions from the Chef or kitchen expediter.

• Dish Descriptions: Describe food upon placement on the table and answer questions related to the dishes.

• Menu Features: Describe menu features, including any changes or additions, as needed.

• Order Accuracy: Communicate with the expediter to ensure food is delivered to the correct table and position.

• Support Bussers: Assist bussers with clearing tables, restocking supplies, and storing items.

• Station Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, tables, chairs, and service stations.

• Side-Work: Perform assigned opening and closing side-work tasks.

• Guest Communication: Communicate guest needs, reactions, and comments to the kitchen and management, assisting with smooth operations and quality service.

• Additional Duties: Perform other job-related duties as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Work Schedule: Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Food Running Experience: Proven experience as a food runner or in a similar role within the food and beverage industry.

• Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming and memorable guest experience.

• Effective Communication: Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to interact clearly with guests, team members, and management.

• Team Player: Demonstrates a cooperative attitude, willing to assist with bussing, restocking, and other team tasks to ensure smooth operations.

• Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to accurately deliver orders, describe dishes, and maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area.
